Organizations
An organization holds your team's members, projects, credits and integrations. Its data is never visible to other organizations.
What an organization is
You can belong to several organizations, for example one per client. Manage them from the avatar menu → Organizations. The page shows the organization you are working in, its members and their roles, and your other organizations.
Create one
On the Organizations page, click Create and give it a name. You become its Owner. Names don't have to be unique.
Invite members
- Only people who already have a Qalion account can be invited. Ask them to sign up first.
- The invitation works only for the email address it was sent to.
- In the app, only Owners can invite members.
Join one
Open the link in your invitation email, or find the invitation in your notifications (Open invitation), then click Accept & join or Decline. You can also click Join on the Organizations page and paste the invitation token from the email. There is no shared code for a whole organization: each invitation is personal.
Switch
Under Other organizations, click Switch next to the one you want. Expand a row to see its members.
Members and owners
- Owners change a member's role with the role list next to their name, and confirm the change.
- Owners remove a member with the trash icon. Owners themselves can't be removed.
- An organization can have several Owners. To hand over ownership, make another member Owner, then change your own role or leave.
- At least one Owner must remain.
Leave or delete
Both are under Danger zone on the Organizations page.
- Members who are not Owners can Leave organization. The only Owner can't leave until another member is Owner.
- Owners can Delete organization by typing its name. All projects, runs, members and data go with it; this can't be undone.
